Save the ancient forests, go old growth free!

Making the start: determining what you buy and who buys it?
To successfully implement your policy, you will need to identify: what you buy that contains wood fibre, the quantities you buy of these products, which department purchase different lines of products

Wood fibre shows up in an astonishing number of products... ice cream, clothing, photocopy paper, film. The first step towards putting your policy into practice is to identify the products that your company uses that may contain wood fibre.

Establishing a baseline of the products you purchase that contain wood fibre is a very valuable process. The baseline provides you with information about:

  • which products you buy most of and which are key to focus on initially
  • the quantities that are presently being purchased so that future goals can be set and progress can be measured.
