A growing number of North American Printers are environmentally conscious and see the benefits of working with clients to print on Ancient Forest Friendly Papers.
"We have been compelled to adopt a policy of strongly promoting the use of Ancient Forest Friendly paper for all jobs, since our role in the Graphic Arts field enables us to influence our clients' choices of paper for their printed items.
Here's why:
- Protecting and preserving the environment we live in is common sense, and critical. Recommending Ancient Forest Friendly paper is an easy way to do this.
- There is a great selection of post-consumer recycled paper available now (with more in development) which enables virtually all paper-use to move in this direction and alleviate the pressure on ancient forests.
- We can easily print on post-consumer recycled paper. Advances in technology have removed the technical impediments deterring the use of Ancient Forest Friendly paper.
- The cost difference between Ancient Forest Friendly and virgin fibre paper is rarely a significant factor.
I invite and encourage all my colleagues to start stocking and/or offering Ancient Forest Friendly sheets, so that Ancient Forest Friendly paper becomes a national and international standard.”
